It looks like the Kindle edition of Volume VI of Bardic Tales and Sage Advice is now available through Amazon.com. My wizardly fantasy story "Sing the Bones Alive", chosen Best Story of January 2013 in the annual Bards and Sages Reader's Choice Award, happens to be among the tales published in this volume.
It took me several
tries to see my wizardly fantasy story published (ten rejections and
one withdrawal prior to its publication in the January 2013 issue of
Bards and Sages Quarterly), but I've now seen it published in both a
zine AND an antho. Plus, it was chosen as Best Story of January 2013 in
the annual Bards and Sages Reader's Choice Award. Not bad for a story
ten other places turned down!
funny. Way back in November, 2010, I predicted that the story might
have trouble finding a home, and that it probably wouldn't find a home
in a pro-zine:
Let the Rejections Begin!
Well, it did eventually find a home in Bards and Sages Quarterly, and now it's in Bardic Tales and Sage Advice, Volume VI.
