I saw this article making the case for why authors need web sites:
Making My Case: Why Authors Need Websites
Okay, I see the logic in the argument for
author web sites. Really, I do. However, at this point in time, I choose
not to have one separate from this blog.
A few years back, I kept an author/poet/artist web site separate from my blog and on-line portfolios. Unfortunately,
I found it to be a waste of time and money. I can just as easily keep
an up-to-date "list of publications" right here on my blog. I can
just as easily maintain on-line portfolios over at Redbubble and CarbonMade.
I have quite the on-line presence without having a
web site. Doubt me? Just do a Google search for "Richard H. Fay", and see
what pops up.
